Continuing Education UnitsThe CEU is the nationally recognized unit designed to provide a record of an individual’s continuing education achievements. The TAMU Engineering Program Office of Continuing Education in cooperation with the Texas Engineering Experiment Station has approved the Mary Kay O’Connor Process Safety Center short courses for CEUs. A CEU certificate will be prepared by the Engineering Program Office of Continuing Education and mailed to you after the class is over. Per Texas Board of Professional Engineers: Each license holder shall meet the Continuing Education Program (CEP) requirements for professional development as a condition for license renewal. Every license holder is required to obtain 15 PDH units (1.5 CEUs) during the renewal period year. A minimum of 1 PDH (.1 CEU) per renewal period must be in the area of professional ethics, roles and responsibilities of professional engineering, or review of the Texas Engineering Practice Act and Board Rules.
